Being all big and stuff

There are times when I realize that Atticus is really becoming a kid. I don't know officially when toddler stage ends, and kid stage begins, but something tells me we are there. Currently he likes to do everything himself. This could be anything from brushing his teeth to pouring his own salad dressing. Although this often creates more work and a big mess for me, I understand that it  is all part of his learning process. I love that he is an independent guy, and I think it will serve him well in the future.

I walked passed his room the other day and this is what I saw. Of course I had to go and grab the camera. He seemed like such a big boy in that moment. Obviously he can't read, but he clearly was enjoying his time. Just a boy and his book. I love it!

Love it!! I hope my kids are readers - there are so many amazing stories out there to fill a childhood.

Atticus's foot looks really big in that photo. That tells you he's a kid.
