What a difference a year makes!

Grandma and Grandpa J came for a visit last week. They haven't seen Atticus since August of 2009. This is what he looked like then. He was walking, but not as well and he could only say a few words. Mostly he said "Mama" or "Mo" aka milk, and "Marley". He still slept in a Pack-n-Play, chugged milk and slept with a binky. He was still a baby.

I was still at work when they arrived so I missed seeing the looks on their faces when they saw the "new" Atticus, but I am sure it was priceless. Sure they have seen plenty of pictures, and heard his voice on the phone, but it is not quite the same and seeing him in the flesh. Now he runs like a madman, speaks in full sentences, goes down the BIG slide at the park all by himself. He is officially a kid now.

Atticus had a blast with them. He chased their poor dog Moto all over the place.

He also discovered that Grandma J keeps a fortune in change in her purse and was hitting her up every second. He would say "More money please", and then run the change into the office, climb up on a stool and put it in his piggy bank. Such a saver. He must have learned that from me. He kept them busy with books, trips to the park, movies and playing outside. I feel like they maybe needed a vacation from their vacation.

Trying to convince Grandpa to get in the tunnel.

Here is everyone trying to find pictures in the I Spy book. They bought one for Atticus and the rest of us became obsessed with it. So much so that we bought a I Spy game for the Wii and between Grandma, Grandpa, Miles, Wesley and myself, we completed the entire game in a weekend. If you are looking for a fun game for the family check it out.

Luckily we will be seeing them in about a month when we do our annual road trip to Spokane and Idaho. I hope they had as much fun as we had in having them. I know Atticus will be excited to see them again soon.

Looks like a good visit - so fun to watch the kiddos interact with the G's!

So... What you're really trying to say is that it's time for another one? :)
