President Obama!

Last night I was proud to be an American. I feel like I witnessed something truly amazing. Not just that we elected the first black person as President, but that people really spoke with their vote. All day there were constant reports on the overwhelming amount of people going to the polls. People were waiting up to 4 hours in line to cast their vote. I feel like Americans finally "got it". You can make a change, you can make a difference. Despite your affiliation, blue or red, donkey or elephant, what happened last night was electrifying. As I watched Obama's speech last night, I looked at my son, and was so thankful to know that he was born in this time. That his era is that of a new one, where anything is possible no matter who you are, where you come from, or what you look like. A time where it was unheard of for a black person to be president, is something he will only read about in History class. Congratulations President Obama.
