I wouldn't consider myself a morning person. I am not particularly cranky in the morning, but I don't really enjoy getting up early. I think the same could be said for Demian. Atticus on the other hand is a morning person. Not because he gets up early, but because he is so happy to be awake. It is clearly his happiest time of the day. Every morning he wakes up around 7am and once he sees that we are awake too he starts the grinning. Recently the grinning has been coupled with some serious cooing. I really want to a lot more enjoyable. How could you not want to get up when you've got that face staring back at ya? I wanted to capture how cute these smiles are. I waited until a little later, and the smiles were spaced out a little more. I felt like some National Geographic photographer trying to snap a shot of some allusive animal. The following is a progression of Atticus attempting to give me the smile I had been waiting for.

That is one adorable child, Gina! He is quite a bit bigger than last time I saw him!! Hopefully I can figure out a time to see him in September or October.
