Last week we got to take Atticus to probably my favorite place on earth. My family's home in Entiat. It's a place I spent summers as a child and LOVE IT! I have great memories from there both as a kid, and as an adult too. We had a really great week, with lots of visitors. We always tell people when we are going, and let them know they are welcome to join us, but most never do, until this year. It was great having a house full of family and friends. The weather was beautiful. It was a bit to hot for baby so there was a lot of inside time, but you can't beat the view of the mighty Columbia River from the couch. We happened to be there during a wild fire. It was across the river but the smoke was intense. It's amazing how fast they spread. I can't wait until next summer to go back! I hope Atticus will grow up to love it as much as I do!

I'm really glad this fire was on the other side of the river. I looked really cool at night when all you could see was lines of fires winding down the mountain. It looked a lot like lava.

Ah, he is so adorable! I love the one of him chillin' in the lawn chair, takin' a snooze!! He is definitely a chubby little guy at this point! Love it!
