Today we took Atticus to his 2 month doctors appointment. It has become very apparent to us that he has been packing on the pounds but today we got an official reading. He weighed in at 14lbs 3.6oz. and is 24 inches. His head is 40 cm around. You may be wondering if this is average, well here is the scoop. He is in the 95th percentile for weight, 90th for height and 50th for head size. I guess he didn't inherit Demian's pupmkin head (sorry D). It makes us wonder how big he will be as an adult. Demian has some serious height in his family, and he is no small fry himself. Most of my family is average size, with some 6+ guys on my mom's side. I guess we will just have to wait and see. The doc said he looks perfect, but we already knew that! He also got his first vaccine. I was a little worried. He had been so happy and content during the visit I didn't want him to get stuck with a big ol' needle and freak out. I held him on my lap and held my breath. He nurse came at him with that needle aiming right for his chubby thigh. The moment of truth...he barely made a peep. He didn't even cry. Needless to say it caused me more stress than it did him. He doesn't have another wellness exam until 4 months. I can't imagine how big he will be by then. One thing is for sure, I am sure getting some big guns from hauling this kid around.
