Fitzgerald Family Reunion 2008

Yesterday we headed out to Monroe for a family reunion. It's my dad's mother's side of the family. She was a Fitzgerald before she was married. The reunion took place at a farm that my family has operated for decades. It was previously a dairy farm and in more recent years has been converted into a corn and pumpkin farm. They now call it Bob's Corn. Check out all the cool stuff you can do there. The farm was started by my grandma's sister Pearl Ricci's family. My dad used to work on the farm in the summers as a kid, so that tells you how long it's been around. It was great to see family that I rarely get to see, and to have everyone meet Atticus. Of course he was a big hit. He finally got to meet his Aunt Nicole who lives in Arizona and is visiting for a few weeks. The weather was perfect and there was also a lot of great food. I really enjoyed being out in the county, even if it's really not that far out of town. With nothing but farmland to look at, it feels like a million miles away. Someone was able to find some old black and white photos of the family. I love to look at old pictures! There were some great ones of my grandma and her many siblings. Everyone always looks go glamorous to me in pictures from that time. I can't wait until the next reunion.

Ah, he looks so much different than the last time I saw him Gina!! He has left that newborn stage and has entered the bouncing baby boy stage. I know I keep saying this but I can't help it, he is adorable. I can't wait to hang out with him again! I should be back in Washington by the 12th or 13th. Not sure when I will be back in Seattle but it will be around that time because I want to start looking for a place to live. Love ya!!
