Evangeline is One!!!

Sweet little Evangeline turned one yesterday, and Atticus and I were there to help her celebrate. It is moments like these when it really hits you how time flies. Not only does it seem like just yesterday that Lillianna was coming home from the hospital with the little bundle of joy, but it doesn't seem that long ago that we were celebrating Atti's first birthday.

They had a low key party with family and a few close friends. I don't think she ever quit smiling. She is one happy child. I think she was more excited by the tissue paper than the actual presents, but trust me, this time next year, she'll know what this birthday thing is all about.


After gifts, it was time for cake. The time honored tradition of letting your small child attack a cake, frosting and all to see how big of a mess they can make. Evangeline being the little lady that she is, kept her mess to a minimum.


We had a great time celebrating this important milestone with such a sweet little girl, or "my baby", as Atticus likes to call her.
