Open to Close

It's funny how time changes the meaning of thing. The phrase "Open to Close" use to mean staying at the bar from when it opened to when it closed. This was a common WSU challenge. Fast forward 10+ years and it takes on a different meaning. Jess, Colleen and I had a little OTC of our own last weekend. We traveled to Chelan and stayed at the scrapbooking store there from open to close working on our books. It was great!
Jess and I started our trip on Friday by stopping off in Leavenworth. My friend Christy works and lives there, so we were able to see her at her work. She works at the Cheese Monger. It's like heaven for me. A store of nothing but cheese, beer, wine, and candy. What could be better? Leavenworth is a town that everyone should see at least once. Christy met up with us later that night at Entiat and we were able to gorge ourselves on some of that yummy cheese.

Saturday morning we were at Memories by the Lake as soon as it opened with our scrap stuff in hand. Colleen's parents live in Chelan, so she met up with us at the store. It was so nice to have hours of uninterrupted scrap time, and lots of time to chat with the ladies. I can't wait to make this an annual even.
Everthing in Leavenworth looks like this.
This is what happens when Jess and I are left alone in a hat shop.

Such a beautiful place.

This guy is for real. We caught him strolling through the parking lot.

Yes, you can make yourself sick by eating too much taffy.
