For Christmas Grandma Ellie and Grandpa David got Atticus gymnastics classes. He has been going once a week since February and loves it. It's a great way for him to burn off some of that endless energy he has, especially in the winter when the weather forces everyone inside.
We also thought this would be a great opportunity for him to be in a class setting, helping him in following directions, waiting his turn, etc. The classes are great. There is a gigantic pit filled with foam blocks the kids get to jump in. They also do circuits, moving from station to station. Balance beams, somersaults, trampolines. The coach is great and seems to know how to handle a group of 3 and 4 year olds, which to me seems a little like herding cats. The little kids take up one part of the gym and the rest is for the serious gymnasts. It really is impressive what some of these young kids can do.
I don't know that Atticus will ever be one of those serious gym kids, but learning how to stretch, balance, and tumble can't hurt in any sport.

Knew he'd be good at this - he's been practicing at the park every Friday! He is a monkey!
Look at Atti go! Wish we had been able to coordinate schedules to get them all at the same place.
