Kid Fest 2011

Last weekend was our 2nd annual Kid Fest weekend in Entiat. It was again an amazing weekend, and these kids just get more fun every year.

My family headed over Thursday night, so we got to wake up and have all of Friday to play. The Zaremba's and the Stalder's arrived later that day. That is when all the fun started. With six kids in all, there was non stop fun. There was tents to play in, super cool bubble guns (thanks Colleen), splashing in the river, and the pool. When the rain came it was bunk bed forts.

The weather was a little hit and miss. One minute rain, and the next the sun was out again. It didn't stop this group from enjoying every minute. The biggest difference from last year was that we didn't have to worry quite as much about the kids running off, or getting into things they shouldn't be. They were too busy chasing each other around.

Vacationing with this group is great. We all have a similar parenting style, and are all fairly relaxed about things. Plus, the kids all get along. Atticus may have found his new hero in Kaden. Whenever Kaden was out of sight, I heard " Where's Kaden at, where is that Kaden-boy". It was super cute. Then on the way home it was " I don't want to go to Brier, I want to go back to Entiat".

I think each year it will continue to be better than the year before. Next thing we know, it will be the adults going to bed early, and all the kids staying up late. So lucky to have these special friends in my life, and blessed to watch their amazing kids grow up.
