I love dying Easter eggs, and the smell of eggs and vinegar brought back childhood memories. Let me try to explain how the egg dying went at the Landerholm house.
1. I boil the eggs and make all the dye. The house smells awful.
2. Atticus sees clear bowls of bright colored liquid, and starts demanding "Juice, Juice, Hold it, Hold it". Trust me buddy, that is NOT juice.
3. Time to put the eggs in the dye. Atticus is trying to Slam Dunk the egg into the bowl of "juice" creating a title wave of dye, and cracked eggs.
4. Atticus only wants to eat the orange Easter eggs, even though there were only two.

We spent Easter dinner at Tutu's and Grandpa with a bunch of family. There was an outdoor egg hunt, and Atticus really got the hang of it. We had to help him a little in finding his eggs, but he totally got the idea that he needed to keep them in his basket. Little did he know they were filled with chocolate. Before we got home I took all the chocolate out of the eggs, so he could play with the eggs. I missed one, and a few days later he was playing with his eggs, and opened one with a chocolate in it. After discovering that little treasure, he opened every other egg, and said "chocolate?" I think he was a little disappointed. A lot more exciting that the eggs the Easter Bunny left at our house with dried fruit inside.
I had to laugh that right before dinner I noticed him eating something. It was the top half of a chocolate bunny. He was devouring it. I asked out loud "Where did you get that?", and someone informed me that Great Grammy had given it to him. She is probably the only person that can get a pass on that.
Yet another wonderful holiday with family.

Love the doggy nap shot! Such a sweet little man:)
Love that Atti was slipped a chocolate bunny - adults always act so surprised that the kid actually eats the whole thing when you give them a huge yummy... like they are only going to take one bite.
It's hilarious to me, after all the kvetching Demian has done about not being allowed sugar as a child, that you guys put dried fruit in Atti's eggs! D used to get grapes in his basket and thought it was such a rip off! Hee hee....
