Sunday was Atticus's 4 month birthday and we celebrated by going to the beach with Aunt Jess. We met up with her in Ballard and headed to Golden Gardens for some fun in the sun. Let me tell you it takes a lot of stuff to bring a baby to the beach. My car was filled with stuff. We got to do some people watching and Jess took some great pictures. She has a really nice camera, which comes in handy for Scrapping, and Blogging something we both enjoy doing. I think Atticus enjoyed himself, that is until I dipped his feet in the sound. It's been a tradition to put his feet in water wherever we go. Puget Sound could be no exception. He make a huge fuss about it and it was short lived. I think people were beginning to stare. Mean Mom. Also, for those of you thinking to yourselves "wow, he looks big for only 4 months." He is big. He went for the 4 month check up today and is 17lbs 9.2oz and 26.5 inches. That is 95th percentile for both height and weight. I am starting to wonder if we are raising a Swedish Shaq?

I had to look up McKenzie's stats since she's a biggie as well. At four months she was 25 inches and 14 lbs 9 oz so Atticus has her beat! She just went in yesterday for her 15 month appt and she is now 32 inches (over half my height...) and 23 lbs 9 oz which is 90% on height and 60% on weight. It's amazing how much they grow in the first year!
