I have discovered that this taking care of a newborn thing is a little harder that I thought it would be. Everyone tells you that you don't get any sleep, and newborns just eat all the time, but it's hard to imagine what it will really be like until you live it. Demian and I may have been a little off base when we talked about all this stuff we were planning on doing with the new baby once he got here. Now that he is actually here, the reality of the situation has set in, and Atticus runs the show. He has been a really good baby, only crying when he is hungry (which is about every hour) or if he gets a diaper change. That being said, it's still a full time job caring for this little person, and I have realized that it's okay to ask for a little help. I couldn't ask for a more supportive network of friends and family. They have done our laundry, cooked us dinner, provided me with napping and showering opportunities, and offered invaluable advice. I can't help but think about all the people out there who have to adjust to parenthood, with all the stress and exhaustion, and no support. I really might be the luckiest girl in the world! Here are are few more pics of baby Atticus. I think he gets bigger and cuter every day.
