Halloween

As much as I love summer, in some ways Autumn is my favorite. Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, I love all the fall colors, and feeling like I have a good excuse to curl up in front of the fire and eat warm comfort foods. This fall so far, has been a perfect representation of all those things I love. After picking out our perfect pumpkins at Bob's Corn, and getting a few extras from Grandpa's yard it was time for the time honored tradition of carving pumpkins. I love doing this. I love the gooey guts, working on the best design and seeing them all lit up. Atticus, not so much for to goo. I really had to convince him to stick his hand in there.

For days before, Atticus keep asking me "Is it Halloween yet?". He totally gets it now. The fun of dressing up, running from house to house, oh, and all CANDY! This year he was lucky enough to Trick or Treat twice. Once in Marysville with Tutu, and then at home. He loved picking which house to go to, and then telling the people, "I am a skeleton for Halloween!" Pretty sure they could have guessed that one. Cutest skeleton in all of Brier.

I love his knocked knees and that Otis is photo bombed him.
Demian said he doesn't dress up for his kid, he does it for his wife. That is the truth. I believe in dressing up for Halloween. Even as an adult. I love that he humors me.

I should have taken of photo of the amount of candy that was hauled in. Impressive I must say. Also, I loved my Rosie the Riveter costume, but I am pretty sure, when  I was going door to door with Atticus, no one realized I was in costume. Just a mom with cute hair.
