July was a blur, and so much has been happening. I am going to attempt to summarize most of the month in one, not to long blog post. It was a month of a few first for Atticus and a few traditional July events.
Grandpa's 70th birthday: We always head up to Marysville to help Grandpa celebrate his day. He didn't want a big fuss, so it was just us, but we had a great time hanging out. Atticus and Grandpa always have fun together.
First Buzz Cut: Atticus was ready to try a home haircut again. The first time around wasn't much of a success, but I have to say this buzz cut looks pretty good.
First concert: Let me start by saying I love concerts. I love to have music on in the house, and I love that Atticus has been listening to some good tunes since the day he was born. Every Father's day I get Demian concert tickets. Year one was Matisyahu, followed by Michael Franti, and this year it was Ziggy Marley. I'm missing someone but I don't know who it is. Anyway, the Ziggy Marley show was at the zoo and the zoo concerts let you bring kids under 12 for free. We brought some food, a blanket, and ended up seeing some friends there who let us join them in a better spot. It was a beautiful Seattle night and a great show. I'm so happy that Atticus got to see someone as cool as Ziggy Marley for his first of many, many concerts.

First M's Game: For the last few years, I have been given free front row M's tickets. This year was no different. Miles had been willing enough to babysit and it was all set. King Felix was pitching and Ichiro had just been traded to the Yankees, and this was a M's vs Yankee game. Exciting night. Miles and Hilary didn't want to miss out on the fun, so they offered to take Atticus with them to the game. We watched most of the game from our amazing seats, and then met up with everyone else at about the 7th inning. Atticus loved the chance to be loud, loved yelling boo Yankees and loved the huge bag of cotton candy Uncle Miles fed him.
